Jonathan Aklaku

Co-Founder and CEO

Jonathan serves as CEO of Nulla Waste. He holds a BSc. In Civil Engineering from KNUST—Ghana, and MSc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Howard University, Washington, DC. He has over ten years’ experience in research, consulting, management, and entrepreneurship in Ghana and the United States.

Oscar Simpson

Co-Founder and COO

Oscar serves as Chief Operations Officer of Nulla Waste. He holds a BSc. In Natural Resource Mgt from the University of Energy and Natural Resources—Ghana. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Studies and a Graduate Diploma in Management Studies from ICM-UK, and is currently pursuing his MPhil in Environment, Water and Sustainability at the University of Energy and Natural Resources—Ghana and Msc. Biosphere Reserves Management(Erasmus+) in Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development – Germany. Oscar has wealth of experience in field operations, entrepreneurship, and logistics.

Sandra Sowah

Co-Founder and Head of Communications & Public Relations

Sandra is a Co-founder of Nulla Waste and serves as the Head of Communications and Public Relations. She holds a BSc. and MPhil degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana, and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her background is in medical research into tropical diseases and has previously worked as research and teaching assistants at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical research and the University of Ghana respectively.  She is currently a research assistant at Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.

Francis Torgbor

Co-Founder and Head of Data & Finance

Francis is one of the Co-founders of Nulla Waste and serves as the Head of Data and Finance. He holds a BSc. in Mathematics from KNUST- Ghana, MSc. in Mathematical Sciences from AIMS- Ghana, MPhil in Statistics from the University of Cape Coast (UCC-Ghana) and a PhD in Statistics from UCC-Ghana. He is also a founding director of the African Maths Initiative Ghana, an NGO which aims at promoting a positive mathematical culture within the African continent.

Kwasi Marfo

Co-founder and Head of Sales & Marketing

Kwasi Marfo is a Co-founder and currently the Head of Sales and Marketing at Nulla Waste. He holds a BSc. in Mathematics from KNUST- Ghana, and a Diploma in Applied Insurance from Malta International Training Center. He has 10 years’ experience in managing client expectations and in Life Insurance underwriting. Kwasi has a good sense of self and enjoys spending time by himself pondering over things, how they are related, how they are made, and how they can be improved. The commitment to duty and the willingness to do more are two of his core professional values. He is also a strong believer that a zero-waste society is achievable with the right resources and training.
